Call for Abstracts

Abstract submissions have now closed.

General requirements for the submission of abstracts

Size and preparation

To ensure consistency in formatting, all abstracts are to be submitted in Microsoft Word, using the following guidelines:

  • Use single line spacing
  • Title: Arial 12 font bold, left aligned
  • Authors: Arial 10 font, Surname, Initials (Presenting Author to be bold), Organisation
  • Abstract Text: Arial 10 font, left aligned
  • Title must be clear and concise
  • All co-authors must be acknowledged
  • Maximum length of Abstract text is 250 words
  • Multiple abstracts can be submitted

Selection of Presentations

The decision to accept a presentation is at the discretion of the Organising Committee and the condition of acceptance is that at least one author or nominated presenter registers for the Conference. Accepted abstracts will be scheduled during one of the Conference Sessions.

Please indicate whether your abstract is for:

  • Oral presentation
  • Poster presentation

Submission details

All abstracts, and any future edited abstracts, should be submitted to claire.bark@tangerineevents.co.nz

Acceptance and rejection of papers

All authors will be advised by 30 September 2011 if their papers have been accepted or declined.

Registration

All presenters must register to attend the Conference and are responsible for their accommodation and registration expenses.

Oral paper presentation

If your abstract is accepted as an oral presentation, you will be given a 12-15 minute slot in the programme, which will include discussion time. Further detailed instructions will be sent to authors of the accepted abstracts.

Posters

Posters must be presented within the size of the poster boards, which are 2.3 metres high by 1.2 metres wide. If your abstract is selected for poster presentation please note that it is mandatory for a presenter to attend the poster round to be eligible for a poster prize.
